Magic in The Mind

This poem is based on the happiness in the world of fantasy. A refuge from the trials and tribulations of life.

Hold me close, don’t let go,

My heart yearns for happiness and love to go.

Whisper in my ear,

The encouragement I need to hear.

With you around, I have nothing to fear,

For I know I always have you in my heart right in here.

Oh!! for the loneliness, that feels ever so harsh,

Oh!! for the pain which to the heart does rush.

When you are in solitude, you find your heart and the inner realms of your mind,

The sweetest honey that life can ever find.

When you are here, I have a friend,

To walk together and smile without an end.

To go distant places,

To live by a lake.

To forget life’s hurtful races,

Where love and friendship can be fake.

My mind is the magic where all dead come alive,

My mind is the abode with no pain, trouble and strife.

Where love is painfully genuine,

Where the heart is without a crack.

Where your world loves you for what you really are,

Where you are the stage’s most brightest shining star.

The world of fantasy, my greatest gift I could ever find,

My love, my refuge a place that’s one of a kind.

Where happiness and joy with eternity does bind,

This is my anthem, my Magic in the Mind.
